Licensing
Reusing YEG Support
Clear permissions for reusing original YEG Support writing and public directory data, guidance for any code shared separately, and clear boundaries around work that belongs to someone else.
Last updated August 29, 2026.
01
What you can reuse
These permissions apply only to rights held by YEG Support. They do not replace the terms of photographers, providers, official sources, or open-source projects used by the site.
Software code
Original YEG Support software code is not currently published for public download. If code is shared separately under the MIT License, that licence applies to the shared copy and substantial copies must keep its copyright and permission notice.
Original writing
Original YEG Support writing can be shared and adapted. Credit YEG Support, link to yegsupport.com and the CC BY 4.0 licence, and say whether you made changes. Quotations and externally supplied wording are not included.
Public directory data
To the extent YEG Support holds copyright or database rights in the original selection, organization, and structuring of its public directory data, those rights are waived under CC0. Attribution is welcome but not required.
A practical writing credit
A clear credit is: “Adapted from YEG Support (yegsupport.com), licensed under CC BY 4.0.” Add a short note describing your changes when you adapt the wording.
02
What is not included
The licences above do not grant rights to the following material unless a separate notice explicitly says otherwise.
Brand and visual identity
The YEG Support name, logos, and other brand identifiers are not included in the code, writing, or data grants.
Photographs and other images
This includes images sourced from Unsplash and photographs or artwork supplied for a particular page or story.
Provider and official-source material
Provider names, logos, quoted descriptions, provider-supplied wording, maps, tiles, and material from government or other official sources are not relicensed by YEG Support.
Third-party tools and assets
Open-source software, icons, fonts, map components, and other dependencies keep their original licences and copyright notices.
03
Accuracy still matters
A licence gives permission to reuse material; it does not guarantee that changing service information is current. Confirm availability, eligibility, hours, addresses, and intake steps directly with providers before relying on or republishing them.
File-specific notices
If a file, photograph, dependency, or data source carries its own copyright or licence notice, that notice controls for that material.
Questions and corrections
YEG Support wants credits and reuse boundaries to be accurate. Send a note if something should be clarified or corrected.
