If you have ever opened a service listing and felt your brain go blank, this update is for you.
I know many people arrive here already carrying a lot. So I rewrote listings to be kinder, clearer, and easier to use in stressful moments.
Most entries now follow the same calm structure: who this helps, how to contact them, intake style (walk-in, call first, referral), and what to bring if known.
I removed vague wording and replaced it with practical next-step language. Instead of "support available," listings now say things like "call this number first" or "walk-ins accepted."
When I are not sure about a detail, I say that directly. Honest uncertainty is safer than confident guesswork.
I also reduced repeated language so each service feels more distinct and easier to compare.

Directory cleanup: clearer listing language
I rewrote listing language with care so people can quickly understand: is this for me, can I start today, and what should I do first?
